Cliff Wagner & The Old #7 appeared on the first season of The Next Great American Band on Fox TV. Out of the 10,000 audition tapes submitted, they were among the 12 finalists chosen for the nationwide, televised competition. Here are a few pics and videos from the show:


Las Vegas Final Auditions

They played a traditional tune and their original song
"Little White Chapel"

When challenged to play something "pop" the judges were amazed byan impromtu bluegrass rendition of "Like a Virgin"
Week 2 of the competition, the band plays their orginal "Old Fire" and Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right "

Week 3 showcased Elton John tunes, the band played "Honky Cat" and the original "Little White Chapel"

Week 5 and it was time for "Poison Ivy"







Before they left, the band had a chance to record their original song "Back to the Delta" in the Green Room at the Fox studio.
 

Cliff Wagner & The Old #7 were invited back to participate in the finale that would honor the ultimate winner (The Clark Brothers) and include a holiday celebration:
